What is Matcha?
Matcha is a finely ground powder of shade-grown green tea leaves, cherished for centuries in Japanese tea ceremonies.
Unlike steeped green tea, matcha is consumed whole — making it richer in nutrients, antioxidants, and natural energy.
Narumi Matcha is made exclusively from first-harvest tea leaves from Nishio, Japan — one of the most respected matcha regions.
What makes Nishio’s method unique is the way the tea plants are shaded:
rather than placing the cover directly on the tea, a slight space is left between the leaves and the covering.
This subtle gap allows gentle sunlight to reach the plants, enhancing both the umami and aroma, resulting in a refined, balanced matcha flavor.
Our tea is stone-milled slowly, preserving color, fragrance, and smoothness — just as it has been done in traditional Japanese tea culture.
抹茶とは?
抹茶とは、摘む前に茶葉を覆って育てる「覆下栽培」によって、旨み・香り・栄養を引き出した茶葉を、石臼で丁寧に挽いた日本独自の緑茶です。
茶葉そのものをまるごといただくため、カテキンやテアニンなどの栄養を丸ごと取り入れられる、伝統的かつ現代的なスーパーフード。
成美抹茶は、愛知県西尾産の一番茶のみを使用。西尾の特徴は、茶葉に直接覆いをかけず、茶と覆いの間に空間を持たせる独自の栽培法。
わずかに光を通すことで、葉がやさしく育ち、旨み・香り・色合いがバランスよく引き出されます。
石臼でゆっくりと挽かれた抹茶は、なめらかで、深みのある味わいと鮮やかな緑が特徴です。
